About EFT
EFT (short for Emotional Freedom Techniques) or Tapping Therapy is a self-help healing technique developed by Gary Craig – more recently proving popular with celebrities such as the Duchess of Cornwall, Lily Allen, Michael Ball, Naomi Harris and Whoopi Goldberg – which has been clinically proven to reduce and calm down the fight-or-flight response (the stress response), and rewire the brain’s neural pathways, retraining it to develop a more positive mindset.
Tapping on certain acupressure points around the face and upper body while tuning in to a specific troubling feeling, thought or image, allows us to acknowledge and release strong, uncomfortable and even traumatic emotions from our bodies and nervous systems, reducing their intensity and importance and leaving us feeling calmer, lighter, and better able to make good decisions.

Your Session
A typical EFT Tapping consultation begins with an exploration of the client’s most pressing issue and any negative or uncomfortable emotions and/or beliefs that may be associated with it. During the session the client taps along with the practitioner while tuning into the problem, noticing and acknowledging any sensations, memories or thoughts that might pop up. This is, in effect, the subconscious speaking, gently leading us to possible deeper issues at play, with each session being guided by it and therefore always moving at the client’s pace.
Afterwards, clients generally experience greater clarity and a shift in perspective around their situation, and are often surprised at how quickly and effectively EFT can uncover and resolve underlying core issues, particularly when compared to more conventional forms of therapy.
Sessions are available via Skype, Zoom, phone and in-person.
